  15. If you have a S3 based Graphics card, the modem will not work on COM4
  16.  
  17. Pull the network card ( tempararly ) and set the modem as COM2 / IRQ3 and disable any 
  18. existing COM 2 port on your system.

  20. If you cannot get any response to basic AT commads in terminal mode, you may have a faulty 
  21. unit.

  23. Your network card has unusual base I/O address, 300H is the normal address for Network cards.
